Welcome to the Official Grisaille Connection.

This is the website of Linda Coulter, International Teacher

Sixty years ago, a little girl sat by her uncle's easel watching him paint villages of Europe from his memories.

As she watched and listened, Linda's uncle told his stories in a soft, loving voice as his brush swept across the artist canvas to illustrate his memories on artist canvas with his family and friends.

Curls of smoke arose from his old pipe to carry her imagination far away to Europe, and those memories gently settled into Linda's heart forever.

In 1919, Edgar Holmes returned from Europe to his quiet country home in Farmington, Illinois, as an honored soldier of World War I.

Thirty two years ago, Linda opened an art education business in her home town.  As her business grew, Linda expanded her market across the midwest by teaching art workshops and seminars for Dick Blick and Jeffry Alans chain stores, park districts, and independently owned art stores.

Linda painted on television for 5 years ...

Linda was approached by one of her adult art students to paint for a live audience every week on syndicated NBC television in Central Illinois.  She accepted this offer, and thereafter she enjoyed 5 wonderful years of painting every Saturday morning on WEEK TV 25.  She was the featured artist in more than 160 television appearances and became a well known personality throughout central Illinois.
